What experience do I need?

None. You do not need experience in either the restaurant industry or cooking hot chicken to open a Hot Chicken Kitchen, although we recommend that you have a proven track record of leadership experience, are confident in your ability to manage people, have an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to follow our business model as you bring the premier hot chicken restaurant to your community.

How does Hot Chicken Kitchen make their hot chicken?

We can’t reveal that here! But we will gladly show you how it’s done during your initial training at one of our Hot Chicken Kitchen locations after you sign the license agreement.

I’ve never built a store before. How does this work?

Our management team will guide you through all phases of the site selection, lease negotiation, construction, training, grand opening and ongoing processes for marketing and operations.

How large of a space do I need for a Hot Chicken Kitchen restaurant?

This varies, but Hot Chicken Kitchen is designed to have a small footprint, which makes the process to secure the perfect location for your restaurant easier, shortens your build-out time and gets your business up and running without delay. We prefer your new location have a drive-thru window, but we will help you select your location.

How many employees do I need?

This depends on the amount of volume you do. We help you determine the hours of your new business to ensure that you maximize your level of profitability. Generally, you will have approximately 12 to 15 employees — some part-time and some full-time.

Do you offer training and support?

Hot Chicken Kitchen has developed an intensive training platform that includes how to manage every aspect of your business, including the most important part: how to correctly serve our hot chicken to your customers. We also train you on how to manage customer relationships and effectively market your business in your community including your social media platforms. We provide continual reviews to help you meet financial and performance goals, including the development of a business plan before you open your doors.
